How the E-Net Internship Experience Works

The E-Net Internship Experience is an internship program that helps you not only find a paid internship gaining experience, but also provides you access to an internship mentor. Your internship mentor will help you land an internship for the summer, develop a portfolio, network with peers and other employers, and help you get the most out of your internship experience.

Graphic Design Intern

Employer: 360 Graphics

Description: If you are looking for an exciting opportunity and a chance to expand your portfolio, 360 Graphics is looking for an Intern! In the design field, there is nothing more important than your portfolio. It will be the first thing your future employers will look for and it is what employers will use to compare one applicant to the next.

Intern will work on internal and external projects; May include, but not limited to, designing graphics for websites, advertising, branding, marketing, signage... During the internship, interns are encouraged to also work on their portfolio and resume.

Requirements:
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Must have strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of HTML a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of Flash a plus, but not required
While this is an unpaid internship, it is a great way to start building your portfolio under the guidance of a young entrepreneur.

Non-Profit Workforce Development

Employer: Workforce Investment Board

Description: The Workforce Investment Board is looking for ONE intern, but is willing to consider multiple talents in search of the right intern. The WIB is considering candidates with interests and skills in the following areas:

Public Relations intern with an interest in marketing, communications, or similar
Responsibilities:
· Communicate and market programs and events for the WIB and/or Chautauqua Works
· Write press releases
· Develop strategies for marketing using resources effectively and efficiently
· Work with local media outlets to ensure proper coverage, press release publication, etc.

Policy intern needed with an interest in communications, political science, or legal studies

Responsibilities:
· Conduct policy research, including internet research
· Collect, prepare, and disseminate information about state and federal policy developments regarding workforce issues
· Prepare press releases and interact with media contacts regarding workforce issues
· Support activities as needed

Information Technology Intern needed with an interest in web design and network administration

Responsibilities:
· Provide support to the Information Technology Director
· Provide help desk support for WIB and Chautauqua Works staff members
· Provide website support

The intern, regardless of background, will also:
· Provide general administrative office support
· Assist with event planning and implementation
· Complete all other duties as assigned

WIB-JRC Internship Program

These Positions have been Filled.
The Workforce Investment Board and Jamestown Renaissance Corporation present the WIB-JRC Downtown Internship Program

Applying
This unique and innovative program will support a group of interns to be placed in paid internships at businesses supported by the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation in Downtown Jamestown, NY. Internships and Learning
Each intern will work a typical work day Monday – Thursday at an assigned business related to their interest. On each Friday, the interns will participate in a joint-learning day that will involve a variety of activities. Staffed by the WIB, interns will receive customized job coaching on resumes, interviewing and networking. On Fridays, you will also be exposed to a plethora of local opportunities that you may not have known existed.

The WIB-JRC Interns will also mentor a team of high school students to develop and implement a career fair for high school students to be held in May. Development of local materials on career options will not only benefit the high school students, but will provide networking and learning opportunities for the interns.
